Personal Assistance Services and Supports (PASS) Program

What is PASS?
PASS is a family-directed service provided in the home and/or community. A PASS worker helps families of children with at least one of the following skills:
  • Increasing the child’s independence with daily living skills
  • Increasing the child’s ability to learn and utilize safety skills
  • Increasing the child’s ability to engage and participate in a variety of social settings that require peer interactions and social communication skills.
Who is eligible for PASS?
Children who are under 21 and meet the following guidelines:
  • Live at home with their family or legal guardians
  • A diagnosis of moderate to severe cognitive, developmental, physical, and or/psychiatric diagnosis
  • Enrolled in Medicaid. Families who do not meet the financial eligibility requirements for Medicaid may still qualify by obtaining a Katie Beckett waiver.
Receiving other supports, such as ABA, does not prevent a child from also receiving PASS services
