Autism Care Partners Expands its services in Vermont with the Opening of New Center in St. Albans

Autism Care Partners Acquires Autism Bridges, Expands Services to Children With Autism Throughout the Northeast

NEW YORK, September 13, 2022 — Autism Care Partners (ACP) continues to expand services to families throughout Vermont by opening a new location in St. Albans, marking the organization’s second location in the state (its first center is in South Burlington) and 22nd center overall. With locations in a total of seven states, ACP is one of the largest autism service providers for families in the Northeast. ACP remains committed to expanding access to these critical services at a time when CDC reports continue to show an increasing prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (1 in 44 children by age 8 according to the latest findings) despite the remaining bottleneck for families of obtaining diagnostic evaluations.

“I’m excited to join ACP with the opening of our St. Albans location. I’m passionate about the work that we do and the services that we offer. To best support our families, we look forward to working closely with our community partners,” said Paula Reynolds, Managing Board Certified Behavior Analyst of the St. Albans center.

While the St. Albans center will immediately offer Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, ACP is excited to soon add the offerings of Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Licensed Clinical Social Work services to the children and families it serves.

In the near term, ACP also plans to deploy the Visual Immersion System™ (VIS™), a proprietary and immersive Language Acquisition System specifically developed for minimally verbal children with autism and other developmental disabilities. The VISTM was co-developed with Boston Children’s Hospital’s Autism Language Program and incorporates many principles of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), which help promote measurable progress in learners with a broad range of diagnoses and communication profiles.

The team welcomes families, academic and medical partners, health plan colleagues, and community members to tour our center and learn more about our services at our open house on September 27th from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm. During our open house, the Mayor of St. Albans, Tim Smith, will officiate a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:00 pm to celebrate our grand opening event.
